Mums the Word is a safe and supportive community for mums — a place to connect, share honestly and feel understood without judgement.
Whether you’re having a difficult day, feeling overwhelmed or simply want to connect with other mums, you are welcome here.
Real mums. Real conversations. Real support.
You don’t have to have it all together to be a good mum.
Be gentle with yourself on the hard days. You are learning, growing and doing more than you realise.
You deserve the same kindness you give so freely to everyone else.
Our mission is simple: no mum should feel alone in motherhood.
Mums the Word creates safe, supportive spaces for honest conversations, connection and emotional wellbeing — empowering mums to support one another and grow together.
Mums the Word brings mums together in a warm, welcoming and non-judgemental space where you can simply be yourself.
Peer support • Monthly meet-ups • Wellbeing activities • Honest conversations
Our groups include:
Monthly relaxed meet-ups, wellbeing and creative activities, guest speakers, self-care sessions and opportunities to connect with other mums who understand.
Come exactly as you are — there’s no pressure to talk or share.
Mums the Word is for mums who want connection, understanding and a safe space to simply be themselves.
Whether you’re pregnant, navigating the early days of motherhood, struggling with your emotional wellbeing or simply looking to meet other mums — you are welcome.
You don’t need a diagnosis. And you don’t need to know anyone before you come.
💗 Just come as you are.
Mums the Word was created from a simple belief — no mum should feel alone in motherhood.
Founded by Roisin, a perinatal mental health nurse, and Danielle, a mum with lived experience, Mums the Word brings together professional knowledge and lived experience.
But more than that, it grew from a shared passion to break the stigma around maternal mental health and to truly “hold the mum.”
We wanted to create a space where mums could take off the mask, speak honestly about how they are feeling and know they will be met with compassion rather than judgement.
A place where the focus isn’t only on the baby, but on the woman behind the mum — her wellbeing, her identity and her story.
Mums the Word is about connection, compassion and reminding every mum that she matters too. 💘

Real Mums. Real Stories. Real Conversations
Join Roisin and Danielle as we open up honest conversations about motherhood and maternal mental health.
Bringing together professional knowledge, lived experience and the voices of real mums, we talk about the things that aren’t always easy to say out loud.
Our aim is to break the stigma, help mums feel less alone and remind every mum that her story matters too. 💗
